Belgium February 2024

In February 2024, our newly formed dive club embarked on our very first trip, and it was a fantastic adventure to Belgium! With so many eager members joining in, the excitement was palpable as we set off for Todi in Beringen, home to the largest indoor diving center in Belgium, built in a former coal mine. The unique setting made the experience even more memorable. The water was warm and inviting, and we were surrounded by over 5000 subtropical fish, creating an immersive and colorful underwater world.

The very next day, we took a trip to Nemo, one of the deepest diving pools in the world, located in Brussels. At a depth of 33 meters, it was an exhilarating challenge for those who ventured into its depths. The clear, controlled environment of the pool offered a different kind of diving experience, and it was a great way to do some indoor depth progression.

After all the diving excitement, some of us fell in love with Belgium (the beer may have had a bit to do with it), and we extended our trip to explore the charming cities of Aalst and Gent. With picturesque canals, medieval architecture, and, of course, delicious local brews, it was the perfect way to unwind after an action-packed dive trip. Our first club adventure was an absolute success, full of laughs, great dives, and new friendships!
